Tangible Business Intelligence is a pioneering user interface project, enabling the user to easily interact with business intelligence applications, and to navigate in multi-dimensional data spaces. It enables users that are not or only partially served by todays BI and Analytics applications to directly enter complex queries, perform simulations, and explore the data. The system is a tangible user interface, that uses direct interaction with physical objects instead of common user interface peripherics.

The system was designed in a user-centred approach, working closely together with business intelligence professionals and users. Using extensive prototyping from simple paper/wood simulations to a high fidelity prototype, the concept was successfully elaborated. It is a vision on tomorrow's data-driven intelligence tools.
